ABOUT ME
The Sacred Chest is a
business based on Christian principles (hence The Sacred Chest, the ark of
the covenant - read more). I am a one
woman show previously located in the Shreveport
/ Bossier City, Louisiana area
also known as the ArkLaTex. I am now located in North Louisiana in the
ArkLaMiss - with Mississippi on our east and Arkansas on our
north- and Texas on our west . Nope, we are not near New Orleans and we don't have to fight off
alligators and crawfish in our pirogues to get to work each day.
Swamps are also few and far between. Sorry, I couldn't
resist. Oh, and while I am on a roll...I do not have a Cajun
accent either - I just sound like a Louisiana hick. Ha! ha. I sell
to customers all over these great United States as well as internationally
(what a blessing!) and the ones I have had telephone contact with have
always commented on my "accent". I tell them that I know I
sound like hicksville!
Well, enough of that... Here on my web site,
you will see that I offer purses, handbags, backpacks and totes and other
bags made entirely by hand - by me, designed with simple shapes and trendy
fabrics. You will find gorgeous tapestry fabrics for sale as well! I also sew family heirlooms such as handmade baby
bonnets/bridal hankies, bridal purses, monogrammed handkerchiefs, monogrammed pillows and
monogrammed pillowcases. I have such a variety that I do not have it all on my web site so please
ask if you are looking for something specific (fabric, embroidery design,
pillow, Renee Randal type bags, etc).
Custom work delights me
so I love to hear other's ideas and get the opportunity to stitch them up! I
love sewing, embroidering and monogramming - especially cool girly stuff for
women, teens, girls and infants! I have sold many of my heirloom gifts on Ebay
and Yahoo auctions and at craft
shows such as the monthly Connie Hines
Arts and Crafts Show in Bossier City. I also love to set up in
teacher's and office worker's lunchrooms to show and take orders for my
monogrammed items and purses.
